Microchipping

According to Queensland Microchip laws, all cats and dogs between 8 and 12 weeks of age must be implanted with a microchip. Microchip is important because it is like a social security number for humans. Responsibility for microchipping is with the person selling or giving away the animal. The sale, implanting and tracking of microchips is regulated in Queensland. The veterinarian will inject a microchip needle under the skin. This will permanently stay under the skin. Having trouble with which microchip companies your pets have? We can help and advise which microchip company is. Please feel free to ring (07) 3802 8763

Health Certificate

The veterinarian will perform a full physical examination from head to tail and complete a health certificate. The health certificate includes owner and animal’s names, Date of Birth, Breed, Colour, sexes (Number of testes), microchip number, body weight, heart rate, temperature, eyes, ears, mouth, lymph nodes, abdomen and skin. This health certificate can be used for sending the puppies to other states of Australia. However, some breeds, especially brachycephalic breeds, require more specific examinations and different health (fitness) certificates. It also depends on the airline requirement. Please contact (07) 3802 8763 to find out more details.
